What is the Rivyo Loyalty Program?

The Rivyo Loyalty Program is a built-in customer retention system designed to reward your loyal customers with points for specific actions like purchases, reviews, sign-ups, and referrals. These points can be redeemed for discounts, gifts, or custom rewards, helping you boost customer engagement and repeat purchases.

How to Setup Rivyo Loyalty Program on Shopify Store?

Setting up Rivyo Loyalty Program is simple:

  1. Install the Rivyo App from the Shopify App Store.

For New Users:

If you're new to the Rivyo app, you can Install the Rivyo app and select the Reviews plan and choose Loyalty as an add-on during setup.

For Existing Users:

If you're already using the Rivyo app, you can upgrade and unlock the Loyalty Program in your current plan and add the Loyalty feature as an add-on from the pricing page.

  • Go to the Loyalty Program section in your Rivyo dashboard. Click on Upgrade Plan.

  • Select Loyalty as an add-on and upgrade according to your current Reviews plan. (For example, if you're on the Starter plan, click the Upgrade button under the Starter plan.) Once upgraded, you'll be able to create and manage a loyalty program for your store.

  1. Click the Get Started button to set up the Loyalty Program on your Shopify store.

  1. Setup Loyalty Program on your Shopify store.

Step: 1 Add "Rivyo Loyalty Program" Block on Home Page

  • Go to your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes > Customize.
  • Select the Home Page, then click Add Block and choose the "Rivyo Loyalty Program" block.

Or you can navigate to Settings >> Installation Instruction >> Loyalty Program Setup, and follow the step to enable the Loyalty Widget in your store.

Note: This block introduces your loyalty program to visitors directly on the homepage, increasing visibility and encouraging engagement.

Step: 2 Add "Rivyo Loyalty Points Earn" Block on Product Page

  • From the theme customization panel, switch to the Product Page view.
  • Click Add Block, then select "Rivyo Loyalty Points Earn" to show earning potential on product purchases.

Note: Displaying how many points a customer will earn per product motivates purchases and strengthens loyalty.

Step: 3 Add "Rivyo Loyalty Points Discount" Block on Cart Page

  • In the theme editor, navigate to the Cart Page, click Add Block, and select "Rivyo Loyalty Points Discount".

Note: This allows customers to redeem points at checkout, which can help reduce cart abandonment and increase conversions

Step: 4 Add "Rivyo Loyalty How It Works" Block

  • Still in the customization panel, choose any page section (or a dedicated info page), click Add Block, and select "Rivyo Loyalty How It Works".

Note: This block educates users about how your loyalty program works — crucial for transparency and encouraging participation.

Step: 5 Create a Separate Loyalty Page

  • Click on the "Create Loyalty Page" button below to automatically generate a standalone page for the loyalty program.

Note: After the page is created, you can find and manage it via Sales Channels > Online Store > Pages. This page can be linked in the main menu or footer for easy customer access.

Earn Points allows customers to collect points by performing specific actions on your store. These points encourage engagement and help build long-term customer loyalty.

🔹 What Are The Ways For Customers To Earn Points?

Customers can earn points through a variety of actions:

  • Sign Up Rewards – Earn points by creating an account.
  • Birthday – Reward customers for sharing their birthdate.
  • Follow on X (Twitter) – Gain points for following your brand.
  • Follow on Instagram – Boost your IG followers and reward users.
  • Follow on TikTok – Drive social media growth by offering points.
  • Share Link on X (Twitter) – Encourage social sharing with point incentives.
  • Share Link on Facebook – Get customers to spread the word.
  • Like Facebook Page – Reward fans for liking your page.
  • Visit a Link – Incentivize traffic to specific URLs.
  • Subscribe to Newsletter – Reward customers for joining your email list.
  • Place an Order – Earn points with every purchase.

🔹 How to Setup Earn Points?

Earn Points Settings

1. Enable/Disable Action : Toggle this setting to activate or deactivate the points earning action.

2. Edit : Customize the title, call-to-action button label, and the number of points customers earn.

3. Point Name : Modify the "Points" to suit your preferences. This will be displayed to customers on your storefront.

4. Point Expiry : Set an expiration policy for earned points based on customer inactivity.

    • Never Expire
    • Expire After X Months (Specify the number of months)

5. Exclude Customers : Exclude customers from earning and redeeming points based on their tags.

6. Point Calculation for Orders : Determine how points are calculated from customer purchases.

    • Exclude Shipping Charges
    • Exclude Taxes

🔹 What is Redeem Points?

Redeem Points allows customers to exchange their earned points for exciting rewards, boosting their motivation to stay engaged and purchase more.

🔹 What Are The Ways To Redeem Points?

Customers can redeem their points for:

  • Amount Discount – Fixed monetary discount on their order.
  • % Off Discount – Percentage off the total purchase.
  • Free Shipping – Eliminate shipping costs with points.
  • Free Product – Redeem points for select products.

🔹 How to Setup Redeem Points?

  • Click on “Add Way to Redeem”.
  • Create a new points redemption option.

Redeem Points Settings :

1. Enter Reward Title

Name your reward to identify it easily.

2. Choose Discount Type

  • Amount discount
  • % off discount
  • Free shipping
  • Free product

3. Select How Customers Will Redeem The Reward

  • Fixed Points: Customer receives a discount for a fixed number of points.
  • Custom Points: Customers choose how many points to spend.

4. Define Points Requirement

  • Set the number of points required to claim the reward.

5. Specify Discount Value

  • Enter the discount amount the customer receives.

6. Set Minimum Order Value (Optional)

  • None: No minimum purchase required.
  • Set Amount: Define a minimum order total to apply the reward.

7. Configure Expiry Settings

  • Never Expires: The reward remains valid indefinitely.
  • Expires After: Set the number of days before the reward expires.

8. Choose whether this reward can be used alongside:

  • Product discounts
  • Order discounts
  • Free shipping

9. Apply Reward To

  • All Products
  • Specific Collections

10. Eligible Purchase Types

  • One-time Purchases
  • Subscriptions
  • Both
